I was woken up by the birds singing.
The sun was shining. Virginia came
by with her three brothers, all on bikes. They'd come to ask
me if I fancied going for a walk along
the water's edge. Miss Thomson let me borrow her bike. It
was a bit small for me, so
I kept careering all over the place. Even so, it was
a brilliant day! Why is it that I feel
so sad and annoyed at myself whenever I have to leave
Virginia and her family? It's as if I'm blaming myself for wasting
my time and at the same time, not knowing how to enjoy
myself.
