I'd never have guessed that we'd be
friends one day. I'm impressed by the way
she comes across as a bit of a tomboy. She's
so sure of herself. She stands up to the
lecturers, she gets involved in all sorts
of discussions and you can always find her
in the centre of the groups that congregate after lectures
and during tea breaks.
I asked her if I ought to say something to
the police. She just laughed and said if only she had penny for
every time that a girl had been followed by some
bloke or other! The first time that someone tried
it on with her in the street, she
asked a policeman to help her. He said to
her, "If I wasn't on duty, I'd chat you up
as well!"
She thought that it was really brave of me
to go public with this
diary. That's what she finds most intriguing about me
- the fact that I never make eye contact with people
and I seem so afraid of
men, yet I've got the courage to tell my life story on the
web (going naked, as she put it).
Today, I've
double-checked all the locks and now I'll turn the
computer off.
