I hardly slept at all last night. The
worst thing was the feeling of complete and utter abandon
during
the middle of the night, as if I no
longer believed in God. This morning, I'm ashamed of the doubts I had.
Such weakness in face of the slightest danger! Virginia thinks
that I ought to look for a room in a
girl's hostel. She said that she'd give me a hand with the
formalities. We'll try and get it sorted out
this afternoon.
