Since I've been in Oxford, it's worried me to
see how different I am
from other people of the same age. It makes me
feel as though I've lived far away from it
all, protected from the temptation to sin in the
shelter of our family cottage. The
students here don't seem to realise that they're not
immortal. They're interested in all sorts of
trivial things, and couldn't care less about the salvation of their
souls. Even the most serious philosophical discussions
end in jokes. One day, I heard someone laughing that
"f Jesus came back, he'd preach on the
Internet!" I was shocked to begin with,
and then I realised what I had to do.
